This policy explains how Lanreal Technologies Inc. ("Lanreal," "we," "us") handles personal information when you visit lanreal.io (the "Site") or email us. It covers this Site only.
Whisperstream has its own policies. Whisperstream, our dictation app for Windows, is covered by the Whisperstream Privacy Policy. The whisperstream.io website is covered by the Whisperstream Website Privacy Policy. When you follow a link from this Site to whisperstream.io, those policies apply there.

What the Site does not do
The Site is a set of static web pages. It has no cookies of our own, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tools, no forms and no accounts. Fonts and images are served from the Site itself, so your browser does not contact other services, such as font providers, to display it.
Information processed when you visit
The Site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., which provides our content delivery network and hosting. To deliver pages and protect the Site, Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page you requested and the time of the request.
The Site also sends a Network Error Logging header. If your browser supports it and has trouble loading the Site, it may send Cloudflare a short report about the failure, such as the page address, the type of error and timing details. This helps keep the Site reliable.
Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie if its protections need to tell people apart from automated traffic. It is not used for advertising or analytics.
Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy, including how long it keeps it: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/. We do not use this data to identify or profile visitors.
Information you send us by email
If you email contact@lanreal.io, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything else you choose to send. We use it only to read and reply to your message, follow up on it, and keep a record of our correspondence. Please do not send sensitive information we have not asked for.
Cloudflare Email Routing receives these messages and forwards them to our email service provider, which stores them on our behalf.
We keep emails sent to contact@lanreal.io only as long as we need them to handle your message and any follow-up, to keep reasonable records of our business correspondence, or to meet legal obligations (for example, business or tax records). When we no longer need them for those purposes, we delete them.
Emails to support@whisperstream.io are product support requests and are handled under the Whisperstream policies linked above.
Why we process it
- Delivering and securing the Site. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure website.
- Replying to your email. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, or on steps you ask us to take before entering into an agreement with us.
We do not sell or rent personal information, share it for advertising, or use it for automated decisions about you.
Who receives it
Only Cloudflare (hosting, delivery and email routing) and our email service provider, as described above. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Where it is processed
We are based in Canada. Cloudflare operates a global network and is based in the United States, so your request data may be processed outside your country. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on recognized transfer safeguards, such as Canada's adequacy status and the provider's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you can also ask how we handle your information and challenge our compliance. Email contact@lanreal.io. We will reply within 30 days, and may ask for information to confirm the request is yours. Because the Site keeps no visitor records, most requests will concern emails you sent us.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (https://www.priv.gc.ca). In the EEA or UK, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The Site is served only over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit what we collect and who can access it.
Children
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date.
